I keep blathering on the same thing about motorcycle front ends. They do look awesome. Be aware that they are a finish that has always been available since the beginning of&nbsp;the Bubinga series in 2006, long before the 'Elites' came along in 2009. Then they got absorbed into the Elite line...same as White Pearl with Diamond Inlay. So in fairness they shouldn't cost any more than any other Japanese made Bubinga. You can see the year of manufacture by subtracting 10 from the first two digits of the serial numbers...Don't get sucked in to thinking it is necessarily an 'Elite' just because of the finish.</DIV><DIV>&nbsp;</DIV><DIV>I've played the bubingas a few times and didn't like them as much as my maples, although the bass drums were devastating. The toms were all attack and then low growl, but no body...not the pleasent round tone of maple. Good, I guess, if your bread and butter is ripping out hyper fast tom fills. That said, I'll probably buy one when I can afford it :)</DIV>]]>
